Run by Claire Bennett, Sydney, Australia

The Wine Guide is a one-person operation. Every article, every recommendation, every reply to your email comes from me, Claire Bennett.

I've spent years inside the Australian wine industry, working on the marketing teams at two major wine companies. That meant directing photoshoots, sitting across from top winemakers for on-camera interviews, and running the monthly magazine at one of the brands. The part that shaped my recommendation instinct most was the wine club. I sold wine over the phone to club members week after week, talking them through their next case: what they'd loved, what had missed, what they wanted next.

That's the lens I write through. Everything on this site is the kind of advice I'd give to a club member about to commit to a nine-bottle case (or two), who wants every bottle in that order to earn its place.

    Get in touch

The best way to reach me is email:

    [email protected]

    What you can email about:

    • Questions about anything you've read on the site
    • Recommendation requests (tell me your budget, the occasion, and what you've liked before)
    • Feedback, corrections, or topics you'd like covered
    • Press, partnership, or affiliate enquiries

I read every email personally and try to reply within a few days. If your question is urgent, say so in the subject line.

    One small note

I can't taste wine for you over email, and I won't pretend to. But if you give me enough detail about what you're after, I'll point you to a bottle worth your money. That's the deal.
